Arizona Superior Court Pima County 110 West Congress, 9th Floor Tucson, Arizona 85701 Alanna Meadows Community Relations Coordinator communityrelations@sc.pima.gov 520.724.4264 October 30, 2025 Sent via US Certified Mail and email Chris Magis Nero FPO-7200 1501 South Cherrybell Stravenue PMB 26096 Tucson, Arizona 85726 cmn.p.a.g.p.b.h@gmail.com chrisnero9999@gmail.com Re: Public Records Request Dear Mr. Nero: This is in response to your “Follow Up Notice and Opportunity to Respond” dated October 21, 2025 which you sent to Hon. Catherine Monro, Hon. Cynthia Kuhn, and Hon. Brenden Griffin. In that notice, you requested that the court respond to your original request dated September 22, 2025. To confirm, the court did respond to your request on October 7, 2025, but because the letter was mislabeled, you did not receive it via mail, although you did receive it via email. I have since mailed you a copy of the court’s response dated October 7, 2025. Additionally, you and I spoke via telephone on October 27, 2025. You requested filed copies of the Oath of Office for Hon. Catherine Monro, Hon. Cynthia Kuhn, and Hon. Brenden Griffin, including the reverse side of the form. A.R.S. §38-233(A) states: The official oaths of state elective officers shall be filed of record in the office of the secretary of state. The official oaths of all other state officers and employees shall be filed of record in the office of the employing state board, commission or agency. In my October 7, 2025 letter, the Court referred you to the Arizona Secretary of State for the official oaths. However, as a courtesy, I contacted the Arizona Secretary of State's office and obtained copies of the filed oaths for Hon. Cynthia Kuhn, and Hon. Brenden Griffin for you. They are enclosed. The oaths obtained from the Arizona Secretary of State's office do not include a reverse side of the form. Please refer to the Arizona Secretary of State’s Office for more information.
Mr. Chris Nero Re: Public Records Request Date October 29, 2025 Page 2 I have also included a copy of the Oath of Office for Hon. Catherine Monro, front and reverse side. Pursuant to A.R.S. §12-213, Hon. Catherine Monro was appointed by the Presiding Judge of the Superior Court and therefore her Oath of Office is not filed with the Arizona Secretary of State’s office but with the Court’s Human Resources division. Arizona Supreme Court Rule 123(f)(5) provides an administrative appeal process should you wish to seek further consideration of your records request by this Court. The Rule requires an appeal to be submitted within ten days. If you choose to submit an appeal, please forward it to communityrelations@sc.pima.gov. Sincerely, Alanna Meadows Community Relations Coordinator Enclosure
